Co-founder and co-owner of FRIDAJOHS design studio – a creative multidisciplinary studio who perform visual identities, branding and design in multiple catogories for a wide range of companies. + 10 years of experience from the world of fashion and interior design as designer, brand manager, art director and photographer.
I work with an ever-evolving design process, where a focus on craftsmanship, design projects and visual arts dominates. In my work as a designer, I find small pieces of inspiration everywhere; it often appear to be a part of a bigger puzzle, which are stored in my head, drawn on paper or saved as images.
The approach and inspiration of my visual projects usually start randomly – inspiration comes from a large variety of places. I often mix old craft-techniques with new materials. Some of the “play rules” in the process are to step beyond the two-dimensional image or object – to create something that awakens the curiosity and the desire to touch the work, and makes you want to take a step closer – something tactile. In my work i would like to emphasize the work and value of the hand, as well as create aesthetic images and artwork that inspires.
